Last week my family and I went camping to Ancroft near Berwick with our best friends. We stayed there for 2 nights. The first night it pored with rain from the moment we arrived until we went to bed which was around midnight. Richard the farmer said that we had about an inch of rain that evening. There was huge thunder and lightning strikes and it made us feel very anxious. Mummy, Jack and Roxxy went and stayed at a friends house and me my Dad, Tom and Nige camped out in the tents.
When we woke up on Saturday the weather was much better. We had our breakfast and hoped in the back of the truck and went to see the pigs. Richard has about 600 in a shed and it was so funny watching them running and oinking around!
Saturday nights camping was much more fun that Friday. We made a huge bonfire and toasted marshmallows on the fire. Our new tent was fab and I think even mum enjoyed it.
